Jack Wilshire has taken a break away from the arsenal team in order to sort his own game out. Arsene Wenger recently sent Wilshire to Bournemouth for a year long loan spell in the hope that he can get first team football and regain the form that made him shine for the gunners! Unfortunately, Wilshire’s career that looked destined for the stars and beyond has been plagued with injury after injury. So many times the Arsenal youth academy product has looked like setting the world alight, to within a split second find himself on a stretcher, facing a long spell out of the game. The most recent injury spell came following a pre-season injury where he broke his fibula in training. This ruled him out for 10 months, returning to play against Newcastle United in an U-21 game in April 2016. Since regaining his fitness Arsene Wenger has shipped him down to the South coast in an attempt to get him regular football at Bournemouth.
Wenger has eyes on Wilshire, not only as a player but he has also predicted Wilshire has a fantastic football brain, and would be not surprised at all to find him in the managers seat at arsenal in years to come. “Certainly one day he will be in my seat. He has a real football brain and understands football. You know really, it’s in his genes. I see him in the future at this club of course. He will spend his life in football, he is a football man. He has an eye on everybody, it’s in him. You have that or you haven’t got it, but he is a real football man.”
Strong words from Arsenal’s most successful manager in the club’s history. Now we will just have to wait and see if he is right or not? What do you think about his prediction, I guess one thing is certain, at least as a manager he is likely to stay away from injuries, well you would hope so anyway!
